Terms of Service

Last updated May 18, 2026. By using FindShifts you agree to these terms.

⚠️ Placeholder notice

This is a starter Terms of Service template for a US-based gig marketplace. Have it reviewed by an attorney before launch.

1. Who we are

FindShifts is a US-based marketplace platform that connects hourly workers with employers. We are not an employer of workers placed via the platform. Workers operate as independent contractors. Employers are responsible for their own employment law compliance.

2. Account use

You must be 18+ to create a FindShifts account. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. Don't impersonate others or create accounts with false information.

3. Payments

Workers receive payment via Stripe Connect within 24 hours of an approved shift. Employers fund payroll in advance via Stripe. FindShifts charges a 5% platform fee on each filled shift. Refunds, disputes, and chargebacks are handled under the terms of our payments partner Stripe.

4. Prohibited conduct

  • Harassment, discrimination, or unsafe behavior toward any user
  • Wage theft, time fraud, or falsified clock-ins
  • Posting shifts for illegal activities
  • Attempting to circumvent the platform to avoid fees
  • Reverse-engineering, scraping, or abusing the platform's APIs

Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

5. Disputes

Disputes between workers and employers should first attempt resolution through FindShifts support. If unresolved, disputes are subject to binding arbitration under American Arbitration Association rules. Class actions are waived.

6. Limitation of liability

FindShifts provides the platform "as is." We disclaim warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Our maximum aggregate liability is the total fees you paid us in the prior 12 months.

7. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Provisions relating to indemnification, dispute resolution, and limitation of liability survive termination.
